The sound of air pitched at different levels when blown into different air spaces.
Materials:
- Empty juice bottle of different sizes, Water and Air.
- Procedure: Arrange the empty juice bottles according to sizes from smallest to largest.
- Blow air into each bottle and listen to the pitch of the sounds.
- Then fill the juice bottle with water to the levels marked on the bottle. Blow air into each bottle and listen to the pitch of the sounds.
One
day room 7 did an experiment with bottles. We had to bring in any sized bottle
but had to make sure that the bottle was empty. We were really nervous
when Mr Narth was blowing in the bottle because we thought that he was
going to blow out through the other side.
