Halloween poem

I found this cool Halloween online poem and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
1. Eeepity, creepity, oh what a fright!
1. Hiding from things that go BUMP in the night
2. Eeekity, squeakity, oh such a lark!
2. I wish I wasn't afraid of the dark.

3. Jack O'Lantern, trick or treat
3. Scary costumes out on the street
4. Ghosts and ghoulies in the air
4.Stay inside, beware, beware!

5. Eeepity, creepity, oh what a scare!
5. Constantly wondering "who goes there?"
6.Eeekity, squeakity, turn on the light
6. I don't like the dark on Halloween night!

Nightmare in your dreams.

Centuries ago in a house lived a man. People were mad at him because he was a creep. There was  a angry mob outside his house, they wanted to kill him so they decided to throw a bottle through his window while the paper in the bottle was burning. He shouted "HELP I'M ON FIRE," he was screaming  hard out "I will get you back." 3 years later Freddie remembered what he said so he started to kill people 1 by 1 so he did but nobody could see him. The people who killed  him wouldn't die it would be their children. But there was 1 girl who knew how to defeat him it was by getting his dead mom to come and grab him to stop this killing and the horror was over and we were all safe.

Bottle experiment

Hypothesis:
The sound of air pitched at different levels when blown into different air spaces.

Materials:
  1. Empty juice bottle of different sizes, Water and Air.
  2. Procedure: Arrange the empty juice bottles according to sizes from smallest to largest.
  3. Blow air into each bottle and listen to the pitch of the sounds.
  4. Then fill the juice bottle with water to the levels marked on the bottle. Blow air into each bottle and listen to the pitch of the sounds.

One day room 7 did an experiment with bottles. We had to bring in any sized bottle but had to make sure that the bottle was empty. We were really nervous when Mr Narth was blowing in the bottle because we thought that he was going to blow out through the other side.

Connecting with the author

This term we have been learning about making a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment on peoples blog's. We know our comments are good when we write something positive about their blog post or make a connection by sharing something similar
The difference it has made is it's been really really good for us to practise improving our learning. We have enjoyed writing  blog comments because it also helps other people to connect and be interested in our blog. The most challenging part for me is remembering how to spell the words correctly.   It's important that my comments make sense.

In this comment I tried to be positive about Joan's swimming

"The faster you go the bigger the mess"

Today Constable Julie came to Glenbrae school to teach us about the stopping distances. Room 7 was really glad that she came because she told us what we didn't know.

If a car was going 30 km a hour it would take about 15 meters to stop. Constable Julie measured out 70 meters and got us to estimate different stopping distances. It help me to see it outside with the measurements.

I thought that if  car was going 60 km per hour around Glenbrae School there is more chance of them hitting a pedestrian. The faster they go the more distance they will need to stop.
